Automated meshing with perfectly matched layer domains The new auto-mesh suggestion applies swept and mapped meshing to domains that have perfectly matched layers. This tutorial video shows Numeric TEM ports. The RF Module now has a Numeric TEM port for transmission lines. Implementation of porous electrodes has been improved using the new core functionality that allows for additional dimensions. This is applicable to the Lithium-Ion Battery interface and Battery with Binary Electrolyte Interface, as well the nodes for Porous Electrode or Additional Intercalating Materials. This allows for efficient counting of collisions with walls and can be used to calculate the flux of any particle property at the border. An Accumulator, for example, can calculate the momentum flux at a border, which can be used to calculate pressure. Accumulators can be used in conjunction with the Moving Mesh interface so that the geometry can be deformed based on the flux particles onto the surface. All fluid flow interfaces announce the absolute pressure to eliminate the possibility of inconsistent reference pressure definitions within different components. Every interface that uses a relative pressure internally can be set by the user at the physics interface level.
Fractures: The new Fracture feature models heat exchange in fractures using a thin porous media. The Fracture feature allows for the thickness of fractures to be represented in the geometry. It also provides a lumped model that can be used for cost-effective modeling. The Fracture feature allows you to define the fluid and solid parts as well as the flow properties. A flow interface such as the Fracture Flow interface can define the flow.
